New City Permit (Bryan and College Station): $500 low risk (no food prep) / $700 medium-high risk (food prep/service) - includes plan review, walk-through, opening inspection and first-year compliance inspections. Effective July 1, 2026, Texas HB 2844 (2025) shifts mobile food unit permitting to a single statewide DSHS permit; local mobile permits will no longer be valid and localities cannot charge duplicative local mobile fees.

Temporary Food Service Permit $52 (14 consecutive days, same location, 3/yr limit); Multi-Event Temporary $200; Seasonal Permit (4 consecutive months) $175; Farmer's Market $100.
Effective July 1, 2026, Texas HB 2844 moves mobile food unit permitting to a statewide DSHS program with reciprocity across all Texas jurisdictions.
