Work Tables with Backsplash
← All Commercial Stainless Steel Work Tables
A backsplash (also called a rear riser or upstand) is a short vertical lip along the back edge of the table top that keeps liquids, food debris, and cleaning spray from running down behind the table and onto the wall. Choose a backsplash table whenever the table sits flush against a wall — it protects the wall finish, closes the gap that traps grime, and makes the station faster to wipe down. Skip it and pick a flat top for center islands, back-to-back layouts, or any table worked from both sides, where a raised lip would just get in the way. Backsplash height is commonly around 1½″–6″; a taller riser catches more spray but can interfere with tall equipment or wall shelving mounted just above.
A rear backsplash keeps splashes and debris from running behind a table set against a wall. Compare backsplash-equipped stainless work tables by size, gauge, and grade below.

About this data
Last verified: August 2026. Specs are compiled from manufacturer spec sheets and authorized dealer listings; where a value isn't published we leave it blank rather than guess.
Methodology: every work-table model is compared on the same set of specifications, and dimensions are checked (for sinks, overall width must exceed the combined bowl widths) — figures that fail validation are corrected from the manufacturer model number or omitted. “Street price” is the lowest legitimate published price we've found and can change.
Sourcing: product specs come from the manufacturer; regulatory statements link to the source (e.g. the FDA Food Code and NSF). Code requirements vary by jurisdiction — confirm with the authority reviewing your plans.
